Helen Wilbers/FULTON SUN A display in downtown Fulton commemorates the life and accomplishments of Martin Luther King, Jr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is Monday, and many local government offices will be closed in honor of the day. 'I want to remind people of his legacy in these times,' said Carmen Brandt of the Fulton NAACP and Human Rights Commission, who designed the display. 'He believed in nonviolence.'
She noted that the Callaway County Public Library has many books about the Civil Rights Movement and MLK's life. 'He was one of those people with character and integrity, making the world a better place,' she said.
A display in downtown Fulton commemorates Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and accomplishments.
