A display in downtown Fulton commemorates Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and accomplishments.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday, and many local government offices will be closed in honor of the day.
"I want to remind people of his legacy in these times," said Carmen Brandt, who designed the display. "He believed in nonviolence."
She noted the Callaway County Public Library has many books about the Civil Rights Movement and MLK's life, which people may check out to learn more. The NAACP contributed to the display.
"He was one of those people with character and integrity, making the world a better place," she said.
