The transport of a large part from the Callaway Energy Center in southern Callaway County to Montgomery City has been delayed. The oversized vehicle carrying the part was expected to leave the plant at 8 a.m. Thursday and travel south on Route CC, east on Missouri 94 and north on Missouri 19. Shortly before noon Thursday, the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Troop F tweeted the transport is being postponed until further notice. “It had to be on the road by 11:30 a.m. so it could get to its destination before dark,” said Cpl. Kyle Green, Troop F’s public information officer. “Since it wasn’t ready, it had to be postponed. A future trip hasn’t been planned yet.”
