A Cole Camp woman suffered minor injuries when she ran off the road early Saturday morning in Morgan County.

Jamie Ritcheson, 38, was westbound about 2 a.m., on Missouri 52 near Cottonwood Road, when her 2005 Saturn Ion ran off the right side of the road.

Ritcheson overcorrected, according to an online crash report by the Missouri Highway Patrol. The Saturn then crossed back over the road and struck two small trees.

Ritcheson was not wearing a seat belt.

A 19-year-old Maryland Heights woman suffered minor injuries in Cole County when the the car she was riding in ran off the road and hit a ditch late Friday evening.

The patrol reported Samaya Peterson was a passenger in a Kia Optima that about 9:10 p.m., was westbound on U.S. 50 at Murphy Ford Road. The driver missed a turn and ran off the right side of the road, where the Optima struck a ditch.

The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was uninjured. Paramedics took Peterson, who was not wearing a seat belt, to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

A single-vehicle crash injured a 16-year-old Steedman boy late Friday afternoon on Callaway County Road 457.

The boy suffered moderate injuries when a mechanical defect caused the Ford F150 pickup he was driving eastbound near Route CC to run off the road and overturn, according to a Highway Patrol crash report.

Paramedics took the driver, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, to Capital Region Medical Center for treatment.
