An O'Fallon teenager received minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident on I-70 in Callaway County on Thursday night, according to a crash report from the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred at 9:45 p.m. Thursday near mile marker 140 on I-70. Blake A. Villhard, 18, of O'Fallon, was travelling eastbound in a 2001 Ford Escape when his vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2008 Infiniti M35 driven by Douglas W. Henderson, 35, of Spring Hill, Kansas, who was also eastbound.
Villhard's vehicle went into the median and struck the cable barrier. Henderson's vehicle travelled off the right side of the highway and came to a rest.
Villhard was taken by EMS to University Hospital in Columbia.
His vehicle was totalled and Henderson's received extensive damage. Villhard was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and Henderson was not.
