KINGDOM CITY - The North Callaway R-1 Board of Education will consider the approval of district tuition rates and breakfast and lunch prices during its April meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school media center.

The meeting will also serve as the board's reorganization. Since there was no election on April 6 due to only two candidates running for two seats, incumbent Amy Reinhard and newcomer Rebecca Burget-Wall will be sworn in.

There will also be a recognition of board member service and the board will vote on a new president, vice president and secretary. The treasurer will be appointed.

North Callaway Superintendent Nicky Kemp will give the presentation on tuition rates for the 2021-22 school year. Kellie Chapin - the district's business manager - will make the presentation on meal prices.

Also under new business, Kemp will lead a discussion on in-district transfers and will give board members updates on policies and regulations. Chapin will make a presentation on an online payments proposal for the district.

Meanwhile, North Callaway Athletic Director Kevin O'Neal will direct a discussion on wrestling and volleyball at the middle school level. High School Principal Brian Jobe will give the board a presentation on cellphone policy changes.

As far as old business, Kemp will make a presentation on COVID-19 and district guidelines for indoor activities and will update board members on CARES Act funding.

Scott Wightman, of the Missouri United School Insurance Council, will give a presentation on umbrella quotes, and the board will schedule a date for a work session.

Under the consent agenda, board members will consider approval of the summer school application and a contract with Neal's Electric for the 2021-22 school year. They will discuss agreements with Thrively Consultation for the upcoming school year and Modern Roof Consulting, Inc.

The board will also hear a preliminary financial analysis of the district by L.J. Hart and Co.
