When Hurricane Laura hit the U.S., students at St. Peter Catholic School in Fulton saw an opportunity to give to those in need.

On Sept. 3, students and staff wore their favorite shirts and brought donations.

When a hurricane hits, people do not always have time to grab their favorite items. Many people may have lost their belongings, homes, businesses and schools. They may have lost their favorite shirts. Students discussed how losing physical belongings is sad, but there is hope in Jesus Christ.

The school raised $204.31 for Catholic Charities USA, a charity that commits to helping those who need disaster relief. Ava Martin, student council leader, is shown holding the check.
