An Auxvasse resident died and another was injured in a car crash early Sunday, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.
At 2:30 a.m., Dennis Davis, 61, was driving west on U.S. 54 near County Road 982 when his vehicle left the road and overturned. He and his passenger, John Meissert, 50, were ejected from the vehicle; neither was wearing a seatbelt.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Troop F crash report. Meissert received minor injuries and was taken to University hospital by ambulance.
Davis's 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer was totaled in the crash.
This is Troop F's first fatal crash of November and 67th so far in 2020.
