The following are Mid-Missouri event cancellations and announcements related to the coronavirus outbreak.


Missouri Boys State, postponed.

Special Olympics Missouri suspends all sports trainings, competitions and other program-related activities through May 31.



The Bicentennial Bash, postponed to Aug. 29-30.

The Tebbetts Picnic, aka Mutton Fest, originally scheduled in June, is delayed until September 25-27.  The Fall Harvest Fest will be combined with the September Mutton Fest.



Bittersweet Garden Club's annual Garden Tour, originally scheduled for June 28, canceled.

Capital City Productions will be close to the general public.

The Cole County Sheriff's BBQ originally scheduled for June 2, canceled.

Council for Drug Free Youth annual recognition banquet, postponed until May 5.

First Baptist Church, won't hold Sunday or Wednesday services or activities until further notice. Worship services will be online at 10 a.m. on Sundays at or CareGivers group that meets at the church on the third Wednesday of each month also canceled its meetings.

First Christian Church canceled its two regular Sunday services and most activities except its food pantry. Their Sunday worship service will be live streamed at 10 a.m. on

The Chamber BBQ, originally scheduled for May 14, has been postponed to Sept. 3.

Missouri State Penitentiary tours are suspended.

The Shelbyfest All Mustang Rally, originally scheduled for April 29 through May 2 in Jefferson City, has been postponed. Organizers hope to reschedule for July or September 2020.

Thursday Night Live has canceled its May 21 event.

The Veterans Coffee Talk hosted weekly by the Heroes Outreach Program at the Disabled American Veterans in Jefferson City, is canceled until further notice.

VFW Post 1003 St. Martins, bingo night canceled until further notice.

Zonta Club of Jefferson City, rescheduled the 21st annual Women of Achievement Yellow Rose Luncheon, originally scheduled for May 12, to Aug. 18.



The Veterans Coffee Talk hosted weekly by the Heroes Outreach Program at The Gathering Place in California is canceled until further notice.
