Fulton school board candidate forum scheduled for Monday

The Fulton Community Teachers Association is hosting a candidate forum Monday evening for the Fulton Public Schools Board of Education race.

The forum will begin at 6 p.m. at Fulton High School.

Four candidates are running for a place on the FPS school board - incumbents Todd Gray and Emily Omohundro, who currently serve as the board vice president and president, respectively, and newcomers Joe Davis and Connie Epperson.

The election will be April 7, when voters will chose which three candidates will join the board. At the same time, voters will also make a decision on Proposition S, which would allow the district to borrow $27.5 million to address security, technological and space upgrades.

At the forum, the candidates will answer questions selected by the FCTA, an organization made up of members of the Missouri State Teachers Association. The audience will have the opportunity to visit with candidates after the forum.
