As of Monday, Callaway County has recorded 59 cases of COVID-19, according to the Callaway County Health Department.
Of those 59 cases, 22 are currently active - the most concurrent active cases in the county at any point in the outbreak to date. Health department officials recorded five of those cases between the holiday weekend and Monday.
Of the 59 known cases, 36 individuals have recovered and one has died. "With gatherings happening throughout the area, cases will more than likely rise in numbers," the CCHD noted on callawaycovid19.com. "Please social distance, wash your hands for 20 seconds and stay home if you are sick. Let's remember this virus is still here and very active."
