WILLIAMSBURG, Mo. — Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies captured a Montgomery City fugitive considered "armed and dangerous" Thursday.

The CCSO received a tip at 11:41 a.m. Thursday regarding the location of Travis Lenzing, 41. Lenzing, a wanted state parole violator, was under felony charges in Warren County for first-degree assault (involving a firearm), armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and delivery of a controlled substance.

Deputies arrived at a residence in the 4000 block of County Road 197 near Williamsburg and determined Lenzing was present. Deputies formed a perimeter around the building and attempted to locate and arrest Lenzing.

Following a negotiation period, Lenzing exited the residence at 4:49 p.m. and was taken into custody without incident, according to the arrest report.

Lenzing was later transferred into the custody of the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
