Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested three people Tuesday afternoon for felony charges related to burglary and drug possession near Portland.

Deputies were called to investigate a theft at 2:56 p.m. on County Road 4055. With the assistance of the Missouri Highway Patrol, the deputies conducted a four hour-long search of the area for suspects believed to have fled on foot.

Jason Cochran, 43, of Fulton; Josephine Davison, 63, of Auxvasse; and Arla Gulledge, 32, of Holts Summit, were arrested for felony offenses including meth possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana, as well as stealing and trespassing. Cochran was also arrested for possession of burglar tools. All three suspects were taken to Callaway County Jail.

Deputies recovered several articles of stolen property.

The investigation is still ongoing.
