This column serves as a spotlight, highlighting the everyday people who work and live in Callaway County. The Fulton Sun takes a moment with someone who is not usually featured in the news but is just as instrumental in making our community the strong and beautiful place we all know and love.

Tiffany Chailland, 25, grew up in Fulton and attended Bartley Elementary School, Fulton Middle School and Fulton High School. She currently lives in Columbia but on Monday was back in town visiting her grandparents. For the first time in a while, she isn't working. Instead, she's devoting her time to her daughter, who is 6 months old.

Q. What was your first job?

A. I worked at Sonic.

A. My grandma - she was a history teacher for a very long time. She inspires me by teaching the youth.

A. Having my little girl.

Q. What is something you are proud of or that you have been recognized for?

A. I don't know.

Q. What profession, other than your own, would you like to attempt?

A. A pastry chef. I'm very artistic and I'd love putting my artistic abilities to use by feeding everyone.

Q. What profession would you not like to do?

A. Anything political. I'm not a people person - no public speaking, that would be my worst fear.

Q. What is something nobody knows about you?

A. Everybody knows me pretty well. I'm an open book.

Q. What is your favorite thing about Callaway County?

A. It's a nice tight knit community. I feel like everybody sticks together.
