Sheriff's office makes 2 meth arrests

Following separate investigations Monday, the Callaway County Sheriff's Office arrested two Fulton residents for methamphetamine possession.

A deputy passing through Fulton at 11:20 a.m. spotted Tyler Marshall, 19, at Hockaday Park. According to the arrest report, the deputy knew Marshall was wanted by the Troy Police Department in Lincoln County in connection with a felony stealing investigation. The deputy took Marshall into custody and subsequently found him to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Marshall was taken to the Callaway County Jail for possession of a controlled substance. He was later transferred to the custody of Troy Police Department officers. The Fulton Police Department assisted with the investigation.

A deputy conducted a separate investigation at 11:48 p.m. on Route O. During the investigation, the deputy came into contact with David Buxton, 56, who was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, according to the CCSO. Buxton was taken to the Callaway County Jail for felony possession of a controlled substance and later released on summons.
