Deputies make 6 weekend felony arrests

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office reported six felony arrests over the weekend.

Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies, including a K9 unit, conducted an investigation at 7:27 p.m. Sunday on West Seventh Street in Fulton near Airway Drive. During the course of the investigation, deputies found Dustin Hook, 33, of Fulton, in possession of methamphetamine. At the time of arrest, Hook was also wanted in connection with a felony stealing offense near Calwood.

Hook was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked for felony receiving stolen property, felony possession of a controlled substance (meth) and felony tampering with evidence. As of Monday, Hook was being held without bond pending a court bond hearing.

Deputies conducted an investigation at 2:18 p.m. Sunday in the Green Meadows trailer park near Fulton. Deputies located and recovered a vehicle reported stolen Saturday in Fulton. During the course of the investigation, three subjects were arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.

Austin Lomas, 22, of Williamsburg, was arrested for first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and, as of Monday, was being held on $4,500 bond. Floyd Murry, 19, of Centralia, was arrested for second-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and later released on summons. Jess Murrell, 26, of Fulton, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and later released on summons.

A deputy conducted an investigation at 5:34 a.m. Sunday in the 4000 block of County Road 216. The deputy came into contact with Douglass Bowen, 45, of Fulton, who was a wanted fugitive from the Missouri Department of Corrections's Board of Parole. Bowen was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail to be held without bond.

A deputy conducting an investigation at 10:40 a.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of County Road 211 in Kingdom City came into contact with Danny Vires Jr., 27, of Fulton, who was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Vires was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail for felony possession of a controlled substance (meth). He was later released on summons.
