Sheriff's office makes 5 felony drug arrests

Investigations and patrols resulted in five arrests for drug-related felonies last week, according to the Callaway County Sheriff's Office.

Saturday at about 10:30 p.m., a deputy patrolling Routes Z and A stopped Sreyvout Sing, 34, of Columbia for a traffic violation. The deputy located methamphetamine during the investigation, and arrested Sing for felony possession of a controlled substance. Sing was taken to the Callaway County Jail before being released on summons.

Thursday at about 3:42 p.m., a deputy patrolling State Road F stopped Fulton resident Christopher Robinson, 29, for a traffic violation. The deputy located a felony-level controlled substance (the CCSO press release does not specify which substance) and arrested Robinson for felony possession of a controlled substance. Robinson was taken to the Callaway County Jail before being released on summons.

Aug. 18 at about 4:30 pm., deputies conducted an investigation around County Road 455 near Mokane. During the investigation, deputies arrested Travis McDonald, 46, of Mokane on a federal warrant relating to a drug charge. The warrant was issued during an ongoing investigation involving the CCSO and the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. McDonald was taken to the Callaway County Jail and later transferred to the custody of federal authorities.

Also Aug. 18, at 3:33 a.m., deputies conducted an investigation on State Road TT near New Bloomfield. Deputies located and arrested James Martin-Lucas, 25, of New Bloomfield on a Callaway County warrant for felony possession of a controlled substance. Martin-Lucas was taken to the Callaway County Jail and later released after posting bond.

Earlier that morning, at about 1:18 a.m., deputies conducted an investigation on County Road 2002 near the Audrain County line. During the investigation, deputies located and arrested Stacy Moore, 49, of Auxvasse, on a Callaway County probation violation warrant. Moore was taken to the Callaway County Jail and remained in custody as of Tuesday pending the posting of a bond.
