Fulton man arrested on assortment of charges

A Fulton man was arrested on a variety of charges after he stole a firearm from a Fulton residence on Monday night, according to a Fulton Police Department press release.

At 7:09 p.m. Monday, a subject waved FPD officers down and said an individual had entered their home and took a firearm. Officers searched the area and located the subject - identified as Michael Hook Jr.

When officers tried to make contact with Hook, he fled into a wooded area. With assistance from the Callaway County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri Highway Patrol, Hook was located in a residence nearby.

Hook was arrested without incident and taken to the Callaway County Jail on the following charges: felony resisting arrest, first-degree burglary, stealing of a firearm and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hook is being held without bond. At the time of his arrest, he was under the supervision of Missouri Probation and Parole for second-degree burglary.
