The Cole County Sheriff's Department is requesting the public's assistance with a missing person case.
Ronald J. Kappel, a 54-year-old Jefferson City man, was last seen at approximately 1 p.m. Monday at his residence in Jefferson City.
Kappel's vehicle was found unattended on U.S. 50/63 near East McCarty Street in Jefferson City on Tuesday. Kappel has not been heard from or seen since.
Cole County Sheriff John Wheeler said Kappel may have some health issues, but no foul play is suspected in this instance.
Kappel is described as a white man of medium build, about 130 pounds at 5-foot-7 with brown hair, hazel eyes and a goatee.
