Man arrested after knife attack

An Auxvasse man has been charged following a Monday stabbing in Auxvasse.

According to the Callaway County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the 500 block of Maple Branch in Auxvasse at 4:18 p.m. Deputies confirmed a man had been stabbed, suffering non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, Nathaniel Kennemore, 20, was spotted on foot in Auxvasse and arrested.

Kennemore was taken to the Callaway County Jail to be held without bond. On Tuesday, Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney Christopher Wilson charged Kennemore with armed criminal action and and second-degree domestic assault.

The CCSO noted Kennemore was previously convicted of felony assault in Phelps County in July 2018, and was released from the Missouri Department of Corrections in June.
