Police arrest 5 during drug raid

Fulton Police Department officers arrested five while executing a narcotics search warrant Wednesday.

FPD officers, along with the Callaway County Sheriff's Office and the Mustang drug task force, arrived at 6 a.m. in the 800 block of Vine Street in Fulton. During the search of the property, officers uncovered drug paraphernalia and a crystal-like substance that later proved to be methamphetamine, according to the arrest report.

Officers also arrested the following people: Margaret Roberts, 37, of Fulton; Devin Brown, 18, of Auxvasse; Michael Kelley, 42, of Fulton; Destiny Poole, 20, of Mexico; and Victoria Smith, 22, of Fulton.

Roberts was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brown was arrested for three counts of assault on law enforcement and one count of resisting arrest. Kelley was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Poole was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. Smith was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

All were taken to the Callaway County jail to await a bond-setting hearing.

This is an ongoing investigation and further charges could be pending, according to the FPD arrest report.
