A Portland woman was arrested on Tuesday night by the Callaway County Sheriff's Office.
At about 10:27 p.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation while proactively patrolling the 10000 block of Spruce Lane in Portland. During the traffic stop, the deupty encountered Alicia Dowell, 51. According to the arrest report, it was determined Dowell was wanted in Marion County for a felony possession of a controlled substance. Dowell was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dowell was transported to the Callaway County Jail where she later posted a $5,000 bond and was released pending a court appearance.
