Fulton man arrested for gun, drug charges

A Fulton man was arrested early Tuesday for unlawful possession of a gun and drugs, according to the Callaway County Sheriff's Office.

At 6:06 a.m., deputies executed a drug-related search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of Westminster Avenue in Fulton. The search warrant had been obtained as the result of an extensive drug investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the Fulton Police Department.

As the result of the search warrant execution, deputies arrested Franklin B.T. Richmond, 49, for the felony offenses of unlawful use of a weapon (firearm), unlawful possession of a weapon (firearm) and possession of a controlled substance (meth), in addition to a misdemeanor drug paraphernalia offense.

Richmond was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he is being held without bond pending a court bond review.
