Douglas Schroer, 40, of Fulton, was charged with the felony offenses of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a firearm on Sunday. Schroer remains in custody at the Callaway County Jail pending a $5,000 bond posting.

The charges are the result of a criminal investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff's Office at 10:11 p.m. Friday in the 7000 block of County Road 411, south of Fulton. During the course of the investigation, deputies encountered Schroer who possessed methamphetamine and a firearm.

Deputies arrested Schroer and transported him to the Callaway County Jail.

Levi Land, 22, of Holts Summit, was arrested at 2:13 a.m. Monday by a deputy who was proactively patroling County Road 4009, near Holts Summit. During the patrol, the deputy attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Levi Land, 22, for a traffic violation. Land subsequently attempted to elude the deputy on Route AA, County Road 499, and LaChar Drive. Land subsequently exited the vehicle on foot and was later located and arrested by the deputy.
