This column serves as a spotlight, highlighting the everyday people who work and live in Callaway County. The Fulton Sun takes a moment with someone who is not usually featured in the news, but is just as instrumental in making our community the strong and beautiful place we all know and love.
Will Shoemaker, 19, was born and raised in Fulton. He is a graduate of Fulton High School. Shoemaker currently works at the Sonic on North Bluff Street and the rest of his family lives in Fulton as well.
Q. What was your first job?
A. My first job - I worked at the Taco Bell here in town, actually.
Q. Who most inspires you (living or dead)?
A. My girlfriend, for sure.
Q. What have you done in life that was most fulfilling?
A. Um, nothing really, not yet.
Q. What is something that you are proud of that you have been recognized for?
A. (Laughs) Nothing. Nothing that I can think of, at least.
Q. What profession, other than your own, would you like to attempt?
A. A registered nurse. The reason being because both of my parents are nurses.
Q. What profession would you not like to do?
A. Be a police officer.
Q. What is something that nobody knows about you?
A. I'm a huge nerd (laughs).
Q. What is your favorite thing about Callaway County?
A. Everyone here's pretty nice and I feel like I know everybody since I've been here my whole life.
