America's National Churchill Museum at Westminster College in Fulton will be among 25 museums and cultural institutions throughout Missouri offering free admission Sept. 21 on National Museum Day.
The annual free admission day is organized by Smithsonian Magazine, the official publication of the Smithsonian Institution.
Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country will provide free admission to anyone presenting a National Museum Day ticket for two. The ticket for two - one per email address - can be downloaded from the Museum Day website: bit.ly/2P7NQrz.
"This is a great opportunity for everyone to take advantage of free admission to our Museum or the participating cultural institution of their choice," said Timothy Riley, the Sandra L. and Monroe E. Trout director and chief curator of America's National Churchill Museum. "We look forward to seeing visitors from around the state and across the country to take in our many Museum exhibits, including our newest called The Few: Winston Churchill, The Royal Air Force, and the Battle of Britain."
The exhibit displays rarely seen items from the Museum's collection and archives related to the Eagle Squadrons and the Battle of Britain.
