A man from Fulton was arrested after a chase with authorities early Thursday morning.

According to reports from the Fulton Police Department, at approximately 2:52 a.m., officers were on patrol when they observed two vehicles parked in the parking lot of the Morgan Soccer Complex.

As an officer was driving up to the vehicles to make contact, both vehicles began to drive away. One of the vehicles allegedly attempted to ram the patrol vehicle and left the soccer complex without stopping.

A pursuit ensued, going onto various county roads and eventually leading back to the Fulton city limits.

Officers were able to successfully use a tire deflation device on the vehicle on Route H near U.S. 54. The suspect vehicle turned onto eastbound 54 and finally came to a stop near County Road 306.

The driver, identified later as Floyd Murray, 21, of Fulton, exited the vehicle and led officers on a foot chase before eventually being caught in the 1100 block of Randall Lane.
