AUXVASSE — A Fulton man led Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies on a chase Saturday through northern Callaway County.

A CCSO deputy was investigating a suspicious activity complaint at 10:49 p.m. in Auxvasse when he stopped Michael Rogers, 43, on South Main Street. During the course of the traffic stop, Rogers reentered his vehicle and fled from the deputy, according to the CCSO arrest report.

A lengthy vehicle pursuit ensued on several nearby roadways, including eastbound U.S. 54 toward Audrain County. Rogers then crossed the highway median and entered westbound U.S. 54.

Near the intersection of U.S. 54 and County Road 176, another CCSO deputy deployed tire deflation devices which Rogers struck. Soon after, Rogers' vehicle left the roadway and stopped. Rogers was arrested for driving while intoxicated, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, resisting arrest and violating an order of protection.

As of Sunday, Rogers was being held without bond at Callaway County Jail until a court bond setting
