Investigation goes to county prosecutor

The Callaway County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing a recently completed investigations into misconduct allegations by a former Youth Services staff member.

No names of suspects or victims was released in a Friday press release from the Fulton Police Department.

The co-investigation began Dec. 21 between Fulton police and the  Children's Division of the Missouri Department of Social Services following a hotline report regarding allegations of misconduct by a former staff member at the Division of Youth Services Fulton Treatment Center.

The investigation focused on allegations the former staff member had physically assaulted some juveniles residing at the facility, as well as provided them with alcoholic beverages, cigarettes, marijuana and prescription drugs. Some of the juveniles also reported the former staff member showed them pornographic videos. The alleged events happened between June and December at the youth treatment facility at 1650 Route O in Fulton.

Police department officials said Friday no more information would be immediately released.
