KINGDOM CITY -Four bids were received and one was accepted at a board of trustees meeting Tuesday night in Kingdom City.
The winning bid of $116,000 from Professional Contractors and Engineers Inc., of Columbia, was accepted to renovate portions of the city hall, at the northwest corner of the Interstate 70 and U.S. 54 interchange.
The renovation project will include removing a wall in the back of the building to create a larger space for a workroom that will double as a classroom when needed. The project also includes remodeling what is now the lobby into space for meetings and municipal court hearings.
