The North Callaway Ladybirds tallied the most Central Missouri Media all-district selections of any Callaway County basketball team, girls or boys, with three in the Class 3 teams.
At the same time, the South Callaway Lady Bulldogs had twice as many selections as last season, and they tied North Callaway and California for the most Class 3 second-team all-district players with two.
Riley Blevins made first-team all-district for North Callaway, and Natalie Shryock and Abrielle Burgher were second team.
South Callaway's Reagan Arrowood and Kelsey Wetherell were named second-team all-district.
In her final season as a Ladybird, Blevins (5-foot, 6-inch senior) recorded 12.4 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game, five assists per game, 2.9 steals per game and 2.1 blocks per game. She went 111-of-288 (39 percent) from the field, 53-of-179 (30 percent) from 3 and 58-of-76 (76 percent) from the free-throw line.
Additionally, Blevins earned first-team all-conference and made the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association's Class 3 District 7 all-district team this year.
Shryock (5-9 junior), who joined Blevins in the 1,000 career points club, notched 12.4 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, 1.8 assists per game, 0.8 steals per game and 0.6 blocks per game this season. She converted 107-of-309 (35 percent) from the field, 79-of-202 (39 percent) from 3 and 41-of-49 at the charity stripe (84 percent).
Shryock was named second-team all-conference and MBCA all-district this year outside of her Central Missouri Media all-district selection.
Burgher (5-5 senior) made for a dynamic guard combo with Blevins this season, registering 8.9 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game, 2.2 assists per game and 1.7 steals per game. She made 80-of-233 (34 percent) from the field, 29-of-96 (30 percent) from 3 and 51-of-79 (65 percent) at the free-throw line.
Burgher's effort paid off, earning her first postseason accolade with the Central Missouri Media all-district selection.
Arrowood (5-9 junior) made Central Missouri Media all-district for the second straight year, recording 11.8 points per game, three rebounds per game, 2.2 steals per game, two assists per game and 0.3 blocks per game this season. She made 36.1 percent from the field, 57 percent from the free-throw line and 26.7 percent from 3.
Along with her all-district selection, Arrowood earned second-team all-conference this year.
Wetherell (5-8 junior) took home the first accolade of her high school basketball career, notching eight points per game, 1.6 rebounds per game, 1.7 steals per game, 1.6 assists per game and 0.1 blocks per game this season.
Outside of North Callaway and South Callaway, the schools in the Central Missouri Media Class 3 girls district were Belle, Bourbon, California, Centralia, Cole Camp, Dixon, Fatima, Hermann, Licking, Steelville, Stover, Tolton, Versailles and Warsaw.
