Mokane AmVets Post 153 donated $200 to Riverview Nursing Home on Friday.

Charles "Chuck" Bell, commander of Mokane AmVets Post 153, presented the check to Riverview Administrator Josh Cross and Activities Director Meka Schroer.

Bell, who served in the U.S. Army in the 173rd Airborne Division, was accompanied by AmVets and Riverview residents Harland Ross and Charles "Chuck" Sebier.

Ross served in the U.S. Army between 1977 and 1980 in field artillery.

Seiber served in the U.S. Army between 1981 and 2001 in the 101st Airborne Division with a tour in Iraq.

The money was donated directly from Mokane AmVets. The donation will be used to put on the Mokane nursing home's Easter celebration on March 31.

"We are striving to better our home every day and have already made a home that residents and employees can be proud of," Cross said.
