South Callaway girls T&F wins six events at Fulton Invitational

FULTON -- South Callaway girls track and field finished first in six events in the Fulton Middle School Invitational Monday at Fulton High School.

Jaedyn Patterson earned two of the Lady Bulldogs' first-place finishes, winning the discus with a personal record of 71 feet and 9¾ inches and the shot put at 27-9½.

Brantley Henry also had two individual top-two performances for South Callaway -- setting PRs in both -- as she won the long jump at 15-2¼ and placed second in the 200-meter dash at 30.04 seconds.

Rounding out the trio of Lady Bulldogs with two top-two individual finishes, Destiny Mealy won the pole vault at a PR of 7-2¼ and took second in the 100 dash at 14.24.

South Callaway reached the finish line first in two relay events. The Lady Bulldogs' 4x100 team of Hayden House, Henry, Ashlyn Jenkins and Mealy won at 55.24, and the 4x200 of Kaitlyn Dickinson, Henry, Jenkins and Mealy at 1:58.8.

House also medaled in the triple jump, placing third with a PR of 28-3.

Dickinson earned bronze in the pole vault at 6-7¼.

"Awesome job today at Fulton by our middle school Bulldogs!" South Callaway track and field coach Stephen Wisch said. "Love to see this many PRs and top marks for our athletes."

The Lady Bulldogs will hold the South Callaway MS Invitational at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at South Callaway High School in Mokane.
