An Auxvasse juvenile and a Jefferson City woman were injured in a crash Wednesday evening.
At approximately 7:40 p.m., Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) officers responded to a crash on U.S. 54 westbound near County Road 158.
According to the MSHP crash report, a 2006 Hyundai Elantra driven by a 17-year-old Auxvasse juvenile struck the rear of a 2012 Hyundai Sonata driven by Shelby Stephan, 32, of Jefferson City.
The juvenile's vehicle went off the right side of the roadway. Stephan's vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
The juvenile received minor injuries, while Stephan received moderate injuries.
The juvenile was transported by private conveyance to University Hospital.
Stephan was transported by ambulance to University Hospital.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Both vehicles were totalled.
