The Callaway County Chapter of the Mizzou Alumni Association is planning several events for the public this fall.
The first fall event will be a Mizzou football watch party on Sept. 30 at 1851 Underground (111 East 5th Street). Mizzou will be playing against Vanderbilt University, with kickoff at 3 p.m.
The Callaway County Chapter will also be collecting canned goods at the event to donate to SERVE, an alumni association release states.
Another Mizzou football watch party will be Oct. 14, when Mizzou goes to Kentucky for a game. The event will again be at 1851 Underground, with the chapter collecting socks to donate to Our House.
The chapter will host a watch party at 1851 Underground for the Mizzou basketball game against the University of Kansas on Dec. 9. During the game, the chapter will collect Tiger Toys for Tots, which is an annual tradition for the group.
The chapter will sponsor a satellite Homecoming Blood Drive on Oct. 27 at Callaway Electric Cooperative (1313 Cooperative Drive).
"The community is urged to support the largest student-run blood drive in the county by donating locally at this drive," a release states.
Appointments for the blood drive can be booked online on redcrossblood.org using sponsor code "CallawayElectric." Walk-ins are also welcome. A photo ID is required to donate blood.
