The Southeastern Conference fined Missouri on Sunday for violating the league’s access to competition area policy following Saturday’s 30-27 win against Kansas State at Faurot Field.

Missouri will pay $100,000 due to fans entering the field after the last-second win. Since it was a non-conference contest, the money will go to the SEC Post-Graduate Scholarship Fund. If it had happened in a conference game, the money would have gone to the opposing university.

The policy was first instituted by conference members in 2004. Financial penalties were increased by members in 2015 and again in 2023.

It was Missouri’s first offense under the new rules. A second offense would be $250,000, with an increase to $500,000 for third and additional offenses.
