PELLA, Iowa -- On Saturday, the Westminster College women's soccer team traveled to Pella, Iowa, to take on the Central College Dutch.
The Dutch were on the attack early, scoring their first goal less than three minutes into the game.
Central won the game with a final score of 3-0, improved its record to 3-1-2 on the season, and the Blue Jays fell to 2-3.
The Dutch out-shot the Blue Jays 21-8 and put pressure on the Westminster defense all game, putting 10 of those shots on goal.
The Jays got off four shots on goal, with three of them coming off the foot of Lauren Halamicek.
Westminster goalie Megan Davidson made six total saves in the game.
The Blue Jays will return on Monday as they cap off nonconference play against Simpson College. The game will kick off at 5:30 p.m.
