Shryock’s corn maze opened for its 22nd season Friday.
Dustin Shryock with Shryock’s Callaway Farms said this year’s corn maze is designed to celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl championship.
The maze is 16 acres, or the equivalent of 12 football fields, Shryock said.
In addition to the corn maze, Shryock’s Callaway Farms features many other activities geared toward children. Activities include a pumpkin patch, fun barn, jumping pillow, bonfires, hay bales to climb and pop-a-shot, Shryock said.
According to Shryock, opening day on Friday felt like a “finish line of sorts where it’s finally all ready to go.”
The maze opened Sept. 15 and will be open every weekend until Nov. 5. Hours are noon to 9 p.m. Fridays, noon to 9 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
“Saturdays from here on out will be pretty packed,” Shryock said.
Entry fee is $12 for adults, $10 for children five to 12 and free for children four and under. Concessions, pumpkins, and bonfires are available for an additional cost.
The Shryock Farms corn maze is located at 2927 County Road 253 in Columbia.
