The Holts Summit Police Department is seeking public assistance investigating recent thefts.
In a release, the police department took over 10 reports of "thefts from vehicles" within a 12-hour period on Sunday.
"It seems these thieves targeted the west end of the City of Holts Summit, checking unlocked vehicle[s], and stealing items within," the release stated.
Areas targeted include J&L Mobile Home Park, Greenway Drive, Spalding Road, Sommer Court, Rief Court and Arnold Drive.
The police department determined the thefts occurred between 2-3 a.m. Sunday morning. The release stated three suspects, possibly juveniles, were involved in the thefts.
In a separate release, the Holts Summit Police Department "labeled these suspects as "Armed and Dangerous" due to the items they stole out of vehicles."
"It is unfortunate that we live in a time when we must worry about thieves stealing the things for which we work so hard to purchase," police chief Zachary Carey said.
The Holts Summit Police Department requests anyone with information or surveillance footage of the thefts to contact the department at 573-896-8431.
The department reminds residents to be vigilant, ensure all vehicle doors are locked and not to leave valuables in vehicles.
