A Holts Summit man was arrested for domestic assault after the victim reported a broken jaw.
According to a Callaway County Sheriff's Office release, deputies "investigated a physical domestic disturbance outside Holts Summit."
"During the investigation, deputies spoke with a female who was being treated at a local hospital for a broken jaw," the release stated.
Deputies "attempted several times to locate" Joseph Pelchat, 41, the evening of Nov. 15 before arresting him on Nov. 16.
Pelchat is charged with domestic assault in the first degree, a Class A felony. Pelchat was denied bond and is in the custody of the Callaway County Jail.
