Schneider named to NAIA All-America first team, Grumley earns honorable mention

KANSAS CITY -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the 2023 NAIA Men's Tennis All-America teams. William Woods University had Vaclav Schneider earn first-team honors, and Ben Grumley made an honorable mention.

The NAIA All-America selection committee selected honorees. Sixteen student-athletes comprise both the first and second teams.

Vaclav Schneider, the sophomore from Prague, Czech Republic, earned his second All-America title after leading the Owls with an impressive 46-12 combined record. He is the third Owl to earn first-team honors. In addition, he broke the WWU season singles wins (27) and season combined wins (46) records.

He finished the season with a 27-6 singles record, going 20-4 in the one singles through dual play and 7-2 in tournament play. In doubles play, he went 19-6 on the season with a 16-5 dual play record and a 3-1 tournament record.

Grumley earned his third honorable mention to the All-America list. The junior from Traralgon, Australia, went 18-6 in singles and 15-9 in doubles.
