Fulton Public Schools announces hirings for two positions

Fulton Public Schools recently announced two staff members with the district will soon begin new administrative positions.

Chelsea Peiter will be the new assistant principal of McIntire Elementary beginning August 1.

She has been with FPS for eight years, and currently serves as a special education teacher at McIntire Elementary.

Peiter earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from William Woods University.

She and her husband of seven years, Brandon, have a four-year-old son, Noah.

"I am both honored and excited to become the assistant principal at McIntire Elementary School. I have been lucky enough to teach here and look forward to continuing to serve the staff, students, and families in this new position. While I am sad to be stepping away from special education, I am ready to grow as an educator along a great administration for the 2023-2024 school year," Peiter said in a release.

Ryan Waters will be the new associate principal of Fulton High School beginning August 1.

He has been with FPS for seven years, and currently serves as the activities director/assistant principal at FHS.

Waters earned his bachelor's degree from Missouri State University. He earned his master's and specialist's degrees from William Woods University.

He is finishing up his dissertation for his doctoral degree from WWU.

He and his wife Lacy, a 2nd-grade teacher at Bush Elementary, have two daughters, 9-year-old Elizabeth and 5-year-old Rylan.

"I am very thankful for the opportunity to take the next steps in my career here at Fulton Public Schools. I've thoroughly enjoyed the relationships I've built with our students, staff, and administration, and I'm grateful to work with such talented and passionate people and feel blessed and excited for this new opportunity," Waters said in a release.

The district is searching for a new activities director/assistant principal for FHS.
