North Callaway track and field concludes regular season in Centralia Classic

CENTRALIA -- The North Callaway Thunderbirds finished their regular season when they competed in the Centralia Classic Monday at Centralia High School.

North Callaway's boys team took third out of six with 88 points, while the Ladybirds finished fourth out of five with 73. Centralia won both team titles -- its boys team scored 212, girls 210.

North Callaway's seven boys medalists were Clayton Moore third in the 400-meter dash (personal record of 57.86 seconds), Gavin Rasmussen second in the 300 hurdles (PR of 44.77) and third in the long jump (18-00.93), Brendan Reinhard first in the high jump (5 feet, 10.87 inches), Aidan Martin third in the triple jump (36-03.43), Caleb Rohrbach first in the discus (126-02.96), Hunter Fansler third in the discus (117-01.12) and Isiah Craighead in the javelin (135-02.05).

The Ladybirds' five medalists were Cora Tripp second in the 100 hurdles (PR of 18.22) and third in the 300 hurdles (56.15), Lia Bondurant first in the high jump (4-09.09), Jalyn Leible second in the triple jump (33-02.43), Kymorie Myers second in the discus (106-11.07) and Faith Cash second in the javelin (110-07.17).

Next, North Callaway will travel to Wentzville for the Class 3 District 4 championships at 10 a.m. Saturday at North Point High School.
