Fulton MS girls track and field wins MCMS Last Chance

MONTGOMERY CITY -- The Fulton Hornets girls track and field team won the Montgomery County Middle School Last Chance meet, scoring 148.6 points Thursday at Montgomery County High School.

En route to winning the team title, the Fulton girls team broke two school records: Paris Benson in the 100 dash (12.92; the previous record was 13.13 by Kate Pani in 2014) and Addison Milius in the 100-meter hurdles (17.92 seconds; the previous record was 18.24 by Alecia Isom in 2016). Benson won the 100 dash, while Milius placed second in the 100 hurdles.

Fulton's boys team also had a strong showing, finishing second with 162 points. Rival Mexico topped the boys leaderboard with 172 points.

South Callaway also competed in the invite. The Bulldogs took fourth out of seven with 54.5 points, and the Lady Bulldogs sixth out of seven with 43.

Moving on to the medalist for each Callaway school, the Fulton girls tallied 11 medalist placings.

Aside from Benson in the 100 dash, the Hornets girls winners were Talyn Clark in the 200 dash (27.34), their 4x100 relay team (53.91), 4x200 relay team (1:54.94) and 4x800 (11:11.25).

Along with Milius in the 100 hurdles, Fultons girls second-place showings were Shandraya Henson in the 200 dash (28.49), Jordan Walton in the 1,600 run (6:30.74), its 4x400 relay team (4:35.85) and Shelby Studer in the pole vault (6 feet, 11.86 inches).

Kinsley Rentschler had the Hornets girls' lone third-place finish, achieving it in the 400 dash (1:06.30).

Fulton's boys team notched 16 medalist finishes.

The Hornets' boys winners were Parker Koch in the 200 dash (25.47), Eli Nichols in the 400 dash (59.80), long jump (16-11.15) and discus (116-06.03), Ryan Roselius in the 800 run (2:26.45), 100 hurdles (16.58) and triple jump (37-00.49) and their 4x100 relay team (50.12),

Fulton's boys second-place showings were Cole Zimmerman in the 100 dash (12.75), Roselius in the high jump (5-05.75), Koch in the long jump (16-11.15) and Preston Wilder in the shot put (34-08.14).

Last but not least, the Hornets boys third-place finishes were Zimmerman in the 200 dash (26.23), Zeke Mendez in the 400 dash (1:00.72), their 4x200 relay team (1:51.52) and 4x400 (4:17.99).

South Callaway recorded two boys medalist finishes: the Bulldogs' 4x200 relay team finished second (1:49.88) and Ethan Munford third in the hurdles (18.50).

Meanwhile, the Lady Bulldogs' lone medalist was Katlyn Dickinson taking third in the pole vault (6-05.95).
