CENTRALIA -- The South Callaway Bulldogs competed in its final meet before districts when they traveled to Centralia for the Centralia Open Meet Thursday.
South Callaway's boys team placed sixth out of six with two points, while the Lady Bulldogs took fifth out of five with one. Centralia swept the meet, with its boys scoring 210 points to top the leaderboard and girls 139.
None of South Callaway's athletes medaled. However, it did have three personal records: boys athletes Lee Butcher in the discus (92 feet, 5.06 inches), Cody McCray in the shot put (28-01.01) and discus (66-08), and girls athlete Sara Howard in the shot put (20-02.52).
South Callaway will host the Class 2 District 4 Tournament at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in Mokane.
