Hornet Jazz Band concert to recognize National Military Appreciation Month

The Hornet Jazz Band's upcoming Big Band Concert and Dance will be in recognition of National Military Appreciation Month, with the theme of the concert being "Stars, Stripes, and Swing."

The event will be on May 13 at the Fulton High School. Tickets are $5 at the door for ages five and older. Former and current military members get in for free.

The concert will have a military memories slideshow and memorabilia on display. There will also be a dessert bar, a silent auction, and a swing dance lesson.

Current and former military service members will be recognized at the event.

Those in attendance are encouraged to wears 1940s attire or military uniforms, but it is not a requirement.

Doors for the concert will open at 6:30 p.m.. The swing dance lesson will begin at 6:45, and the concert will be from 7-9.

Past and present military service members will be recognized at 7:45.
