William Woods women’s golf competes at Midwest Intercollegiate

WARRENSBURG -- The William Woods University women's golf team played through the rain and cold weather at the two-day Midwest Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Central Missouri.

The Owls placed 13th out of 14, with the 13 other schools being NCAA Division II.

Central Missouri won the invitational with a 621. The Owls finished with a 736.

Maria Ortiz Rozo led the Owls with a 174 (86-88). She tied for 49th with two birdies, 11 pars, 14 bogeys, six double bogeys and three triple+ bogeys.

Woods' Jennah Schell tied for 58th with a 177 (87-90). She finished the 36 holes with a birdie, seven pars, 21 bogeys, five double bogeys and two triple+ bogeys.

The Owls' Alissa Olson shot 189 (94-95) for 72nd place. She hit five pars, 17 bogeys, 11 double bogeys and three triple+ bogeys in the two rounds.

Hope Tuttle finished with a 196 (94-102) to round out the Owls' scoring. She placed 74th with four pars, 15 bogeys, 14 double bogeys and three triple+ bogeys.

Woods' Emma Fisher placed 77th with a 207 (102-105). She shot four pars, 12 bogeys, nine double bogeys and 11 triple+ bogeys.
