Fulton, North Callaway boys track and field open season at Montgomery County Early Invite

MONTGOMERY CITY -- Fulton and North Callaway boys track and field had two athletes medal in events at the Montgomery County Early Invite Tuesday at Montgomery County High School.

Of the four medalists, Fulton's Will Wagner-Yates was the only one to win an event. Wagner-Yates took first out of 14 in the pole vault, going nine feet, 5.25 inches.

Meanwhile, North Callaway had the lone multi-medalists between it and Fulton, as Caleb Rohrbach finished second in the shot put and third in the discus. Rohrbach recorded a 41-03.25 distance in the shot put and 114-04.00 in the discus.

Kai Foster was the Hornets' other medalist; he finished second in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 11 minutes, 26.23 seconds.

Brendan Reinhard notched the Thunderbirds' third medal of the meet, taking third in the high jump after leaping 05-11.5.

Fulton will next compete in the Waynesville Open at 4 p.m. Thursday in Waynesville, while North Callaway will participate in the New Bloomfield Wildcat Relays at 2 p.m. Friday in New Bloomfield.
