Fulton boys golf wins team title, has two medalists in Fulton Tri

FULTON -- Competing against Eugene and South Callaway, Fulton boys golf opened its season by winning the team title in the Fulton Tri Monday at Fulton Country Club.

As a team, the Hornets scored a 54-over-par 194, 17 strokes better than the second-place Eugene Eagles. However, Eugene's Evan Twehus finished on top of the individual leaderboard, carding an 8-over-par 43.

While Fulton didn't win the individual title, it did have two of the three medalists. The Hornets' Justin Case took second with a 44, and Bryce Wolfmeier third with a 47.

Rounding out Fulton's scores, Cameron Cummins signed for a 50 and Justin Dillion a 53; the Hornets' Kaden Johnson competed as an individual, scoring a 60.

Fulton will hope to keep it up when it competes in the Southern Boone Quad at 4 p.m. on March 28 at Eagle Knoll Golf Course in Hartsburg.
