Chamber to host Be Pro Be Proud

The Callaway Chamber of Commerce will host its first Be Pro Be Proud VIP Simulator Workshop Experience next week.

Be Pro Be proud is a workforce development initiative that introduces students to technical careers through virtual reality experiences, a release from the chamber states.

The initiative currently operates in Arkansas, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee.

The simulation will be in Fulton beginning on Monday, March 20. The simulation experience will be in a 53-foot trailer with two pop-out sides that can expand to cover 1,000 square feet, a release states.

Inside the trailer will be around a dozen simulator stations where the community members can view career opportunities through virtual and augmented reality.

Local business leaders and community members have been invited to attend the first simulation on Monday.

From Tuesday to Friday, the trailer will travel to high schools across Callaway County. Approximately 1,500 students will be able to use the simulators.

"The Callaway Chamber of Commerce is excited to be partnering with Be Pro Be Proud to provide an unforgettable week to our future generation workfroce across Callaway County," Tamara Tateosian, executive director of the Callaway Chamber of Commerce, said in a release.
