Sheriff’s department reports February calls

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office released the calls for service data for February.

Throughout the month, deputies traveled more than 55,830 miles for patrols and investigations within the county. A total of 2,026 calls were recorded for February. This is a decrease from January, when 2,394 calls were recorded.

The titles for the calls for service are generated by the Joint Communications Center, which generates the title based on the initial information provided by dispatch. The Join Communications Center is seperate from the Callaway County Sheriff's Office.

The highest-recorded calls for service are as follows, attempt to locate, 28; check well being, 32; NON-EST court order, 34; SRO detail, 39; suspicious activity, 42; records request, 43; serve subpoena, 48; serve summons, 52; register sex offender, 57; security patrol, 58; administrative detail, 60; 911 hangup/verification, 85; assist other agency, 87; warrant arrest, 87; follow up, 123; seeking information, 127; officer information, 138; T traffic/moving violation, 217.
