Holts Summit releases information about recent incidents

The City of Holts Summit released information Tuesday about recent incidents that occurred in the city.

At approximately 11:26 p.m. on March 6, the Holts Summit Police Department responded to a call about a domestic assault in the Winding Hills Mobile Home Park, according to a release from the city.

The male suspect in this case fled the scene before the officer arrived. After the officer spoke with the female victim, the officer believed there was probable cause for the arrest of the male suspect.

The male suspect was located in Jefferson City on March 7 at approximately 8:20 a.m. He was taken into custody and transported to the HSPD for further investigation.

The suspect was then transferred to the Callaway County Jail. Officers there requested a "no bond" hold for the suspect, according to a release.

The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney's Office received the following charges for review: felony domestic assault (first degree), felony domestic assault (third degree), felony burglary (first degree), felony stealing, misdemeanor domestic assault (fourth degree) and misdemeanor violation of order of protection for adult.

This investigation is still on-going.

Another incident occurred in Holts Summit on March 7.

At approximately 9:48 a.m., the HSPD, Holts Summit Fire Protection District and Callaway County Ambulance District responded to a report of a medical emergency in the area of Cochise Drive and Wildfire Court.

Upon arrival, a deceased female was found, according to a release.

The HSPD is currently conducting a death investigation, and there is no current threat to the public.
